Here at Griffs Family Butchers, we supply nothing but the finest quality cuts of beef, all of which have been nurtured in a sustainable and safe environment. Our beef is naturally reared in the Scottish county of Aberdeenshire and are raised with no growth hormones as well as being grass fed! We age our beef for a minimum of 21 days plus to increase and intensify the flavour and tenderness of our cuts! All of our Lamb is carefully hand selected from farms in the local area of Bridport by our trusted suppliers. Our skilled team at Griffs meticulously prepare a diverse selection of cuts from tender shoulders of Lamb to lean, succulent legs. Our local Lamb, is of courseall naturally reared and grass fed, which is a much better option than supermarkets as not only are you purchasing and eating a greater quality product, but it is also good for our evolving environment. Eating locally helps reduce the worlds carbon footprint, so you can contribute to improving the planet as well supporting your local butcher at the same time!
All of our Pork is farmed locally in the town of Bridport and chosen by trusted suppliers with good quality produce and high reputations. We are proud to offer all of our customers the finest and tastiest local pork, alongside all of our other locally reared, farm assured produce. Our poultry here at Griffs is delivered straight to our door daily as well as all of our other produce, so that we are able to guarantee fresh produce for our customers. You'll be pleased to hear that all of our chickens that we have offer are not only antibody free but growth promoter free too! A lot of poultry that you purchase from alternative shops instead a butchers are more than likely have these factors as well as being pumped with water. At Griffs, we want to provide our customers with nothing but the best so we ensure that alongside our poultry, our lamb, beef and pork are all naturally reared too! We offer free range produce but also a quality barn reared option too.
GAME MEATS
Here at Griffs we also offer a variety of meats which might not be for everyone! We love variety especially in all kinds of forms such as sausages or burgers which are usually made around the summer time or when the meat is in season.We offer a range which includes Venison, Goat, Oxtail, Pheasant, Wild Rabbit, Deer, Wild Boar, Duck, Geese, Guinea Fowl & more! These are available on a pre-order basis only however, as we don't keep these in stock due to popularity, but all we require is a day or two notice! This is so that we can have it fresh, prepped & ready for you!
We pride ourselves at Griffs on our handmade produce, when it comes to our burgers, we make each and every one fresh, by hand and use our very own mix of seasonings to make the perfect combination. Our burgers vary of meats and include, chicken, beef, goat and even turkey, throughout the summer we create many new flavours so keep your eyes peeled for those and follow us on our socials to keep up with new produce!
Griffs are known for our outstanding quality, shop made sausages & with a large array of flavours, there's something for everyone! We sell out of our sausages pretty much every week, especially on our Dorset Glories! We have a 3lb deal on our sausages which does NOT include our dorset glories, traditional pork or chipolata sausages unfortunately but there is plenty other flavours to decide on!
